According to Angel Tree, for 2.7 million children in the U.S., they may experience abandonment, loneliness, and shame from having a parent in prison. Angel Tree reaches out to the children by collecting toys and other Christmas gifts for them. The family is also given access to a free copy of the Bible (in English or Spanish).
