The Benton School Board announced Wednesday evening that the new Superintendent of Schools will be Dr. Kim Anderson.
Dr. Anderson has served as interim Superintendent since October 2021, and according to a statement from the District, comes with an impressive education background at Benton and around Arkansas.
She has served the Benton community since 2017 as an Assistant Superintendent overseeing Elementary Schools, Federal Programs, and Categorical Funds. She has also worked with Parks and Recreation to implement the All Kids Can Bike program in the elementary schools, and has been a part of the Capturing Kids Hearts programs at three elementary schools.
Prior to Benton, Dr. Anderson served in Northeast Arkansas as a coach, teacher, principal, and director. During that time, she has also held the position as an Instructor for Arkansas State University. Dr. Anderson’s resume illustrates her true passion for making positive connections with students and improving education for all.
“I thank the Board for their decision and belief in my ability to lead Benton Public Schools to the next level.” Said Dr. Anderson. “I am also appreciative of the support from the students, staff, parents, and community and look forward to growing all Panthers while upholding our core values every day.”
