The Alexander Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on its final version of the city’s new Comprehensive Master Development Plan. The Public Hearing will be held during the planning commission’s regular April meeting on Tuesday, April 11.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the courtroom at the Alexander Municipal Complex (City Hall). The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive input from residents, business and property owners concerning the future growth of the city. It’s one of several steps the City has taken to receive public input.
Planning Commission Chairman Michael Huck said, “In 2021, a public survey was taken, followed by two public meetings. This version of the Plan is the culmination of that public input.”
If any comments made during the Public Hearing warrant it, edits will be made to the Master Development Plan. The plan will eventually go to the planning commission, at a future meeting, to vote on a recommendation that the city council adopt the plan. Mr. Huck explained the plan will be used by current and future city leaders to act as a guide concerning residential and commercial growth in the City of Alexander.
