New Hospital Breaks Ground in Bryant, Projects 2020 Opening

Scroll down for video recorded live at the ceremony, and a gallery of high resolution illustrations of the Encore Medical Center project. Arkansas Heart Hospital (AHH) held a ceremonial groundbreaking in Bryant, Tuesday, November 13, 2018, for the new hospital location they are building in Bryant, called Encore Medical Center. Construction is set to begin on this second hospital in the coming weeks. It will be a four-story modern hospital located at 3140 Highway 5 N in Bryant – less than 15 miles from its flagship location in Little Rock.

Many dignitaries gathered for the ceremony, including speakers that are well-known in Saline County, as well as several from the hospital.

In order of appearance in the video below: Bryant High School Legacy Band; Drew Jackson, AHH President and COO; Bryant High School Honeybees choir; Dr. Bruce Murphy, Chief Executive; Bruce Murphy (Dr. Murphy’s father); Lt. Governor Tim Griffin; Board Member and Former Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker; Shane Broadway, former State Senator and Board Chairman of the Saline County Economic Development Corporation; Andrea Nelson, Chief Clinical Officer; Dr. Jim Kane & Dr. D.C. Williams. Joining to do the actual groundbreaking is Jacob Robinson, who will be the Hospital Administrator for Encore.

“We are excited to build a second hospital in one of the fastest growing communities in Arkansas”, said Drew Jackson, President and COO. “This new general acute hospital will provide innovative cardiac care, while also focusing on bariatrics and peripheral artery disease.”

Arkansas Heart Hospital Encore will include a full service emergency department, state of the art imaging and an attached medical facility with multiple specialties. The projected opening date for Arkansas Heart Hospital Encore is the latter part of 2020.

“It was a natural choice,” said Dr. Bruce Murphy, Chief Executive. “Saline County has been the home to our Benton Clinic for many, many years. It’s a special community to me and I am delighted at the decision to expand there.”

Arkansas Heart Hospital proudly announces the groundbreaking of Encore. The event will be held Tuesday, November 13th at 10:00 a.m. at 3140 Highway 5 North in Bryant. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony.
