WHAT IS GAGA BALL? FIND OUT BELOW.
A local scout is organizing a sale to be held November 23rd as a fundraiser to build a pit for playing gaga ball at Midtowne Church in Benton. Kara Ivy is a scout in the American Heritage Girls (AHG). She is interested in the sport of gaga ball and wants to introduce it to the community.

“Gaga ball is similar to dodgeball,” said Ivy. “It’s played inside a wooden octagon-shaped court and the objective is to hit the legs of the other players with the ball.”
Ivy conceived of this service project as her Stars & Stripes award in AHG, which is similar to the Eagle Scout award that Boys Scouts of America issues.
The sale is set for that Saturday between 8am and Noon. The location is Midtowne Church at 4037 Boone Road in Benton. AHG is a faith based scouting and leadership organization.
