A Benton Parks and Recreation employee was honored recently as 2024 Arkansas Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year, according to a statement released from Benton Parks and Recreation Director Stephanie Jones.

Adam Nelsen serves as the Aquatics Director for the City of Benton. He is a huge asset to the City and the field of aquatics. He has developed and implemented creative aquatic programs that improve the swimming, physical, and mental health needs of all residents in Saline County.
Nelsen brings extensive personal experience with Arkansas Swimming and education in community health, as well as dynamic interpersonal communication skills and motivational techniques.
“Our team could not be more proud of his achievements,” stated Jones.
