All of the bookstagramers I follow were RAVING about these!
Ok, bookworms, today there’s a special guest reviewer! My sister! To be honest, I’m suuuuuuper busy right now, and it was her familial/best friend obligation that persuaded her to write a guest review for me. So, give her a warm welcome because she’s a saint and I don’t deserve her.
The Simple Wild, let me clue you in to a little secret – I am a sucker….BIG sucker for a dad/daughter storyline. There is just something about that connection that gets me everytime and BOY, did this book deliver. There was a lot of heart, a lot of emotion, and a lot of snark. I am also a big fan of snarky turned lovers storylines. The description of Alaska’s wilderness was the best I have ever read. I seriously wanted to book a plane ticket and fly out to Alaska after reading these books. If it’s HALF as beautiful as it was written I would be in heaven. The characters were weaved together nicely, their lives and storylines intertwined perfectly. There are some Alaskan traditions, quirks and customs that as a Southerner I didn’t understand, but loved. Now, I did cry — like ugly cry — during parts of the book. I won’t tell you why, and maybe I was just super emotional that week, but it caught me OFF GUARD! Tell me if you do the same. There is some adult language and adult spice (you can see it coming and can pass by if needed), but I really liked this book, and I would read it again.
Wild At Heart, I loved it, don’t get me wrong. I had issues (as I do with MOST romance novels) with the lack of communication in a relationship. Just have two conversations and there wouldn’t be this huge misunderstanding/fight/angry/
