The forecast is hot and sunny on Monday, then chances of storms by Tuesday night. Monday will be sunny. with a high near 91 and south wind 5 to 10 mph. The following outlook for these next few days is from the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
An unsettled pattern will develop by late Tuesday of this week, continuing into the weekend. Some strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late Tuesday night through much of Wednesday and into part of Thursday. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats with the strongest storms, with a tornado or two possible. Some areas of heavy rainfall will become possible by late this week with multiple rounds of rainfall possible.

An active weather pattern will develop starting late Tuesday evening as a cold front drops southeast towards Arkansas.
Chances for severe weather will increase starting late Tuesday evening into Tuesday night across far northwest sections of Arkansas. This threat will spread further southeast for Wednesday.
The primary threats expected with the strongest storms will be large hail and damaging winds. A brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
Some areas of heavy rainfall could be seen by late this week. Rainfall amounts exceeding 3 inches could be seen from late Tuesday night through Thursday night, mainly across the northwest two-thirds of Arkansas. This may lead to some isolated flash flooding.
