Benton Animal Services and the City of Benton are seeking individuals who may know or have information about a dog that was found wandering on Whitewood Drive during the afternoon on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Animal Services received a call that a dog was wandering and lying down on the side of Whitewood Drive in Benton. As officers arrived, they found a young mixed-breed dog lying on the side of the road his face had been spray-foamed and the foam was completely covering the dog’s eyes.

The dog was immediately taken to a veterinarian who was able to completely remove the spray foam with no apparent damage to the dog’s vision or face. The dog is currently under supervision at the clinic and will be released to Benton Animal Services as soon as the veterinarian gives the all-clear for any other health issues the dog may have.
Benton Animal Services and the City of Benton take all animal cruelty cases very seriously and will prosecute this individual or individuals to the absolute fullest of the law.
