Three Bryant High School students have been named 2024 National Merit Semifinalists. These academically talented high school seniors, Logan Geissler, Julia Murray, and Jonah Wagner, have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,000 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $28 million that will be offered next spring.
Logan Geissler has attended Bryant Schools since fifth grade. He is considering Vanderbilt for a Computer Science major or Georgia Tech for Aerospace Engineering. Logan is a member of the Hornet Golf team, National Honor Society, FBLA, Beta Club, and Chess Club. He also volunteers with his church.

Julia Murray became part of the Bryant family in kindergarten. She plans to major in nursing at the University of Arkansas. Julia is the National Honor Society president, an officer in SWARM, serves on Student Senate, and is in FCCLA and Beta Club. She is on the Lady Hornet Soccer team. Julia is also very involved in Indian Springs Baptist Church.
Jonah Wagner, also a Hornet since kindergarten, is still exploring colleges. Although he hasn’t yet chosen a major, he is considering history and law. He is in both the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society at Bryant High School.
“On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of Bryant High School, we are very proud of our three semifinalists,” said Principal Todd Edwards. “Each of them have bright futures ahead and we look forward to the great things they will accomplish.”
