Compete at the Royal Cheese Dip Festival Oct 7th at the Courthouse

How much cheese dip can you eat and which one is your favorite? The Royal Cheese Dip Festival is coming back for a second year to test your love of dairy. This event is presented by Leadership Saline County (LSC).

Come to the Saline County Courthouse lawn on Saturday, October 7, 2023 to sample all the cheese dips.  LSC Board President, Jordan Reynolds said there were 15 different cheese dip vendors last year and over 500 people in attendance.

Come for the fest (feast?) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Raising Grey will entertain the crowd with live music.

If you think your cheese dip is the best, get a booth and prove it. The entry fee for competitors is $100 and that includes a booth space, two free tickets to the festival, and a social media shout-out. In addition to cheese dip, local vendors can also choose to promote their organizations or products.

LSC is always about giving back to the community, and this event is a fundraiser for scholarships. The goal is to raise $1,000 each for four Saline County students. LSC will also partner with the Royal Theatre to provide funds for their program. 

“Our hope with this alumni event is to open up the opportunity for future Leadership Saline County classes to focus their entire fundraising efforts on the nonprofit of their choice,” said Saline County Leadership Board President, Jordan Reynolds. 

Cheese dip vendors will be judged for four awards: 1st and 2nd place Judge’s Choice and 1st and 2nd place People’s Choice. Leadership Saline County is also seeking sponsorships for this event. Fill out the form at this link to sign up as a vendor or sponsor.
