The Saline Symphony Orchestra, located in Bryant, Arkansas, will perform in concert on Saturday, April 29, at 6:30 pm, at Love Auditorium at the Bryant High School Fine Arts Building.
The concert, “An Evening With Mozart,” under the direction of interim conductor Carl McCraney, will feature the orchestra performing with featured youth musicians from Bryant, Benton, and Hot Springs. Mr. Allen Scott, Bryant Mayor, will be our Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
Musical selections will include compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and others, leading the audience through an evening from Mozart’s prodigious childhood and through his brief life of only 35 years, leaving a musical legacy like no other composer. The evening’s repertoire will include pieces that are both familiar and perhaps new to the audience.
The orchestra is a community-based organization with volunteer musicians from Saline County, as well as Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Sheridan areas. The performance is free to the public and appropriate for all ages. Tickets are not required. Donations are accepted, both in person and online.
Love Auditorium is a state-of-the-art facility with free and handicapped parking on the grounds of Bryant High School. To find the latest information, see the Saline Symphony Orchestra’s Facebook Page at https://fb.me/SalineSymphony.
