One restaurant closed and another is opening in its place. Pie Five Pizza opened in Benton in 2015 in a corner spot behind Academy Sports and Outdoors. While this particular spot didn’t work out for them, the owner kept their location near Bass Pro in Little Rock. And speaking of the owner, it’s the same people that are opening the new restaurant – Pizza Inn.

Pizza Inn restaurants opened their first ever location in 1958 in Dallas, Texas. They began franchising in 1963 and opened the first buffet restaurant in 1969. The company, now known as Rave Restaurant Group, also owns Pie Five Pizza, so that is how we are seeing a quick turnover from Pie Five to Pizza Inn.
The owners say the new Pizza Inn will open on Tuesday, April 25th. You can expect a full salad bar and buffet style pizza on the menu. They have dessert pizzas as well. When my family visited Pizza Inn as I was growing up in the 1980s, I remember wolfing down my pizza then playing video games while the adults talked. You’ll see video games at this location too.
The restaurant is located at 20770 Interstate 30, Suite 250. It’s near the intersection of Alcoa Road and Arkansas Highway 5. Keep watching MySaline since I’ll try it and will have a review soon.
