The Benton Lady Panthers are growing and making it known that they are a contender.
On Friday, December 2nd, the Benton Lady Panthers took down the Alma Airedales 54-40. The Lady Panthers were able to bounce back after a tough loss to West Memphis 46-44 the previous night.
Benton was led by Alyssa Houston with 18 points and 7 rebounds and 1 assist and 1 steal. Some other big play makers for Benton were Maddison McIntire and Zaya Bufford. McIntire managed 16 points and 3 rebounds. Bufford scored 12 points. These Benton girls made a good start to the season starting 5-2 on the year.
On Saturday, the Lady Panthers were able to roll against the Beebe Lady Badgers, Benton winning it 51-18.
Houston continued to be the playmaker for the Lady Panthers going 6 for 8 from the field with 12 points and 11 rebounds. McIntire had yet another killer game with 12 points and 4 steals. She has been a game changer for the Lady Panthers. The Panthers are on a roll. Let’s see if they can keep it going.
