Emma Sue Robbins, age 84, of Alexander, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was born September 29, 1938 in Benton, Arkansas. Emma was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Max & Estelle Boone, her husband, Leonard Robbins; and daughter, Carla Robbins Turbyfill.
Emma is survived by two sons, Keith Robbins (Kathy) and Steve Robbins (Suewonna); brother, Bill Boone; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11 at Bryant Cemetery in Bryant. There will be an open visitation.

Cassie Renee Tully McNair, 39, of Sheridan, earned her wings October 6, 2022.
Cassie was born to Charles Larry “Chuck” Tully, Jr. and Lisa Renee Nall Tully on January 12, 1983. She was a 2001 graduate of Glen Rose High School, as well as an honors graduate of UALR class of 2006, with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. She was baptized into the Baptist Church by Bro. Gary Gibson.
Cassie is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Geneve Nall, and paternal great-grandparents Madison “Papa” and Trudy Tully.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Curtis McNair of Sheridan; sons Ottis Harris, Charlie Roberts, and Zane McNair; daughters Ella Harris and Charley McNair; parents Chuck and Lisa Tully of Prattsville; brother Keith Tully (Jackie) of Benton; maternal grandfather Nathan Nall of Prattsville; paternal grandparents Charles Tully, Sr. (Theada) of Hot Springs; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
More than anything, Cassie found her calling as a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband, Curtis, raised their five children in a home filled with love and understanding. Cassie enjoyed spending time with her kids outdoors tent camping and rock hounding. She was a den mother to Ottis and Charlie’s Boy Scout and Cub Scout chapters, and wanted to teach the importance of service to the community. She enjoyed music and the Arts, especially Broadway musicals. Cassie spent many years overcoming obstacles and hardships, and did so with no other reason than to make sure her children had the best future possible. She believed in second chances, and believed people could change for the better, and then proved that every day. She was a fighter, a warrior, and believed, above all else, that “the faith of a mustard seed could move a mountain.” Cassie’s bright personality and energetic spirit will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tully, Donny Samples, Kevin Dixon, Dillon McCoy, Nathan Johnson, and Chris Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Lloyd and Joey Reynolds.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9 at Ashby Funeral Home.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton on Monday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m., with internment to follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Rev. Don Tallison will be officiating.
Harold Gene Chronister, 82, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away October 4, 2022. Harold was born July 13, 1940 to the late Virgil Chronister and Robbie (Allen) Chronister.
Harold was a perfect husband and father and loved his family more than anything. He was honest, kind, caring, wise, and thoughtful. Harold enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing. As a hobby, he repaired fishing rods and reels. Harold loved his four-legged fur baby, Buster and treated him like family. He worked as a journeyman machinist for Alcoa for over 32 years and was a member of the United Steelworkers local 4880. He was a founding member and on the board of directors at the Alcoa Community Credit Union. Prior to working at Alcoa, he was a machinist at Pickins Instrumentation making lunar landing module parts for NASA. In 2018, Harold was the first person in Arkansas to receive a LVAD which enabled him to extend his life and spend more time with his family making precious memories.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Chronister and Robbie (Allen) Chronister; four sisters; three brothers; and granddaughter, Heather.
Harold is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Martha Anne (Turner) Chronister; son, Joey and wife, Kay; daughter Gena Davis and husband, Tommy; grandchildren: Haley Chronister, Turner Davis, Hunter Chronister, Julia Davis, and Emily Davis; great-grandchild, Sailor Mae Chronister; sisters: Reba and Bobbie; brother, Billy; as well as host of other family members and friends that all loved Harold and will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.

Nancy Sue (McCallister) Buggar, 91, of Benton, Arkansas passed away October 6, 2022. Nancy was born December 16, 1930 to the late William Sylvester McCallister and Eula (Dardeene) McCallister.
Nancy loved to sew and cook. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. Nancy was very dedicated to her church of over 45 years, Benton Foursquare Church. She loved spending time with her one and only grandson, Ethan. Nancy always had a garden and loved flowers.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Arlie L. Buggar of 48 years.
Nancy is survived by her son, Larry Buggar and wife, Deborah; one grandson, Ethan Buggar; as well as a host of friends and family that will all miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with funeral service following at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Social Hill Cemetery.

Jim Young of Benton entered Heaven on October 8, 2022. He was born on March 13, 1948, in Glendale, CA. He is survived by his wife Peggy, his daughters Jaci Baber (Scott) and Kristen Lindsey (Dusty); 6 grandchildren: Houston, Hunter, and Halli Baber, Avery, Andrew, and Austin Lindsey; 2 nieces LorieTudor (Jeff) and Valerie Willis (John).
He was predeceased in death by his parents Ralph and Mae Young, a sister Margaret Hudson, an infant brother, nephew David Harris, and many loving relatives and friends.
Jim was a graduate of Bryant High School and Arkansas Tech University. After graduating college Jim was a furniture manufacturers representative throughout Arkansas and surrounding states. He was a member of the Arkansas Homefurnishings Association and was inducted into the Arkansas Homefurnishings Association Hall of Fame in 2017. He was also a member of the Arkansas Roadrunners where he served as a Senior Officer and Secretary-Treasurer. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Bryant.
Visitation will be at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, between 5:00 �” 7:00 p.m. His memorial service will be at First Southern Baptist Church, 604 S. Reynolds Rd., Bryant, AR 72022, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
