Rain chances will improve significantly overnight into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock. A couple storms could reach strong/severe limits but widespread severe weather is unlikely.
Precipitation and cloud cover will keep temperatures at a more bearable level. Highs Wednesday will only climb into the 70s and 80s, except for some 90s in southwest Arkansas.
The biggest chance for rain on Tuesday night is over the northern half of the state. Low temps will be in the 60s and 70s.

Rainfall will gradually spread into northern Arkansas on Tuesday evening into the day Wednesday.
This activity should spread south into portions of Central Arkansas during the day Wednesday.
At this time, it appears southern Arkansas should receive the heaviest rainfall on Thursday.
Higher totals are expected along a swath from North Central into Eastern Arkansas. Rainfall amounts of one to three inches are likely, with localized amounts in excess of four inches possible.
At this time, areas around the Ouachita Mountains are expected to see the least rainfall.
