Judy F. (Fumiko Akino Uramoto) Ellis, 92 of Mabelvale, formally of Cumomoto, Japan, passed away on April 10, 2022. She was born on April 11, 1929 and was raised by her maternal grandmother, Tsuki Yasunoju. Judy came to the United States at the age of 20. She married Bobby R. Ellis, Sr. in 1951 and was married for 40 plus years until his death in 1991.
Judy retired from Timex and was a dedicated, proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby R. Ellis, Sr., daughter, Deborah C. Bean, grandson, Michael R. “Hermie” Young and granddaughter, Carrie Young.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Karen D. Young, Sharron G. Nichols, sons, Bobby R. Ellis, Jr. and Michael R. Ellis; grandchildren, Jason Young, Christopher Young, Jeanne Nichols Jones, Danny “Bubba” Nichols, Robert R. “Robby” Ellis, Christopher L. Ellis, Robbie Bean, Rachel Bean and Danielle Stasner; seven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends, including a special friend and daughter, Jeanne Ellis Atchley, who lovingly cared for her.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ellis, Christopher Ellis, Jarred Green, Ronald Delk, Robert Martin and Carl Martin.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15th with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery.

James Bratton Permenter, age 86, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was born October 31, 1935 in Konowa, Oklahoma. James graduated High School and enlisted into the Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, he later owned and operated Jimbo’s Jewelry. James was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Roosevelt & Juley Ethel Permenter; son, James “Jimmy” Gordon Permenter; two brothers, Ray and Johnny Permenter; and the mother of Daren and Dana, Mary Ann Permenter.
James is survived by his five children, Daren Permenter (Katie), Dana Rogers (Chris), Sheila Watson, Lisa Lawless, and Amy Permenter; grandchildren, Megan Crawley (Evan), Brandon Permenter, Nathan Permenter, Xavier Permenter, and Coyote Rogers; and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Bro. David Wilson will be officiating.
Dr. Carl Franklin Horne, age 73, of Benton passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was born April 21, 1948 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He surrendered to the ministry in 1972, and touched thousands of lives in his 50 years in the ministry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Alma Horne; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Margaret Horne; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Ida Heller.
Buddy is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Darlene Horne, daughters, Carla Batchelor (Phillip) and Kathy Duncan (Ben), grandchildren, Emily Baker (Brett), Hannah Batchelor, Mataya Duncan, Atalya Duncan, Sam Duncan, and Brody Duncan, sister, Sharon Walden, brother, Robbie Horne (Pam), nephews, James Walden, Dale Walden, Michael Walden, Clint Horne, favorite niece, Jacquelyn Lawhon, and many great and great great nieces and nephews, bonus granddaughter, Bri Roush and great granddaughters Alayna, and Lyla, a host of friends, and his best friend, Mac the dog.
Pop loved nothing more than spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends. No matter how he felt, he was the life of the party. During his ministry, he pastored thirteen churches, and led hundreds if not thousands of people to the Lord. He touched so many lives, and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, April 14 from 6:00-8:00 and Friday, April 15 from 1:00-2:00. Funeral will be Friday at 2:00.

Cercie “Chip” P. Honeycutt, Jr., 49, of Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord after a long battle with colon cancer on April 8, 2022. He was born October 3, 1972 in Little Rock to Cercie Patrick “Pat” Honeycutt and Linda (Nicholson) Honeycutt.
Chip was in the outdoor advertising industry. He loved to fish and hunt. He was kindhearted and loved animals. He enjoyed gardening and building beautiful flower beds. During his illness, he designed and built two electric bicycles. Chip was mechanically inclined and could build or fix anything. Chip also enjoyed rock hounding for crystals. Scuba diving was one of his favorite activities. He loved his family, and was especially close to his brother, Cody.
Preceding Chip in death is his father, Cercie Patrick “Pat” Honeycutt; and his grandparents.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Nita Patton Honeycutt; son, Jack (Honeycutt) Freeman; mother, Linda Honeycutt; brother, Cody Honeycutt; special friend, Betty Fussell; and many family members and friends who love Chip and will miss him always.

Jason Gregory Davis, 41, of Benton, Arkansas passed away April 10, 2022. He was born September 18, 1980 in Benton to William Davis and Vickie Rigsby.
Jason worked for corporate security. He served the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. Jason was saved and baptized at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church. His family was very special to him. Music was a big part of Jason’s life and he played the fiddle and piano. Jason had a giving heart and was always willing to help others. His fur babies, Stella and Pinky Rhea, were his constant companions. Jason enjoyed relaxing and being outdoors camping and fishing, woodworking, and watching comedies.
Preceding Jason in death are his grandmother, Della Gregory; grandfather, Eugene Davis; and step-grandparents, Marcie and R.A. Rigsby.

Gordon Leroy Koder, 75, went to his eternal home on April 11, 2022. Leroy was born on November 16, 1946 in Bryant, Arkansas to the late Frank and Bonnie Koder. Leroy is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Shiela Koder and brother Ronnie Koder.
Leroy is a United States Army veteran. He served in The Vietnam War during 1965-1967. Leroy worked at Saline County Road Department where he retired after 30 years.
He is survived by his son, Brett Koder; daughter, Monica Koder; son, Dusty Koder (Angel); brother, Bill Koder (Blenda); sister, Bonita Winters (Jessie); granddaughter, Audrey Cason (Zach); grandson, Brody Koder; his two great-grandsons, Beau and Forrest “Odie” Cason; and countless other family members and many friends.
Leroy was a true craftsman. Together, he and Shiela made many ideas come to life. Just as Shiela was “Honey” to her family, Leroy was “Pappy”. There wasn’t much that Honey and Pappy wouldn’t do for the people they loved. Pappy was always willing to lend a hand, whip something up in the shop for a friend, or go and get anything you might need. He wasn’t just a craftsman; he had a true passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were a big part of his life for many years. We will miss being able to just spend time with him and watch him bring his ideas to life. All of us can rest easy now knowing he is at peace with the love of his life.
Graveside service, officiated by Bro. Jake Sky-Eagle, will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 14, at Fowler Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas.

Charles Eddings, 58, passed away on April 9th, 2022. Charles was born on October 15, 1963. Charles was a truck driver for many years and loved his family, motorcycles, his grandchildren, and taking care of his wife.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother and father, Wayne and Joy Eddings. Charles is survived by his wife, Lee’sa , 6 daughters, Jessica, Samantha, Ashley, Somer, Becca, and Brittany. 6 granddaughters, Alyssa, Savannah, Sabrina, Sheyenne, Trinity, and Haley, 1 Great Granddaughter, Sarah. 4 sons, Tim, Sammy, Simon, and Scotty. And 3 Grandsons. Skyler, Noah, Nate.
Charles’s wishes were to be cremated, with a memorial service at a later date.
Walter Alan Sanders,43, of Benton, Arkansas began his journey with his lord Monday April 11th, 2022. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 25, 1978, to James C. Sanders Sr. and Letitia (Glenn) Sanders.
Walter was preceded in death by his father and his brother James C. Sanders Jr. Walter is survived by his mother Letitia Sanders; brother, Rodney Sanders; His girlfriend April Essman; Sisters, Denise Tipton, Felicia Diemer, Heather Hutcheson; 15 nieces and nephews; Alan Fulton and many friends and family.
A celebration of life will be on Friday April 15, 2022 at 6PM at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home 6700 Alcoa rd. Benton, Arkansas 72015.
