Carrie Gerine Helmich, 59, of Benton, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2022. She was born April 2, 1962 in Benton, Arkansas. Carrie was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She loved to make jewelry and never missed a chance to send you a card in the mail. Carrie loved the Lord with all her heart and served him daily. She loved working in the church. The joy of her life was babysitting her niece and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Helmich and grandparents, Ed & Edna Helmich, Christine & Raymond DeLoach, and E. Waymon Taylor.
Carrie is survived by her son, Garrett Crump; her mother, Shirley Helmich; her sister, Sharon Thomas and husband Mark; uncle, Kevin DeLoach; niece, Alissa Harrell; nephew, Jared Thomas and wife Katie; nephew, Seth Thomas and wife Jamie; and great nephews, Gabe, Luke, Aidan, and Corbin.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. A private burial will follow. Gene Huskey will be officiating.
Janet “Jan” Lee Cash, age 65, passed to eternal rest on Friday morning, March 25, 2022. Jan was born in Benton, Arkansas on May 16, 1956 to James Raymond Cash and Merrill Laura Cox Cash, who both preceded her in death. Her brother James Raymond Cash, Jr. also preceded her in death.
Jan is survived by Aunts Lorene Weise, Catherine Inman, Alma Raper, Shirley Evans, and Joan Bowers; by Uncle Alton Cash; and by a host of cousins and two nieces.
Jan devoted her life to her school and church and was serving as principal of Our Lady of Fatima School at the time of her death. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, where she regularly shared her musical talents on the piano and the flute. Jan touched numerous lives during her teaching career and cherished each of her students and teachers.
She also made lasting friendships with people throughout the state while she served as secretary of Arkansas Quarter Horse Association. She traveled many miles to horse shows with her second family, the Beaty’s.
A children’s mass will be held on Friday, April 1 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Paul Worm officiating. A short graveside service will follow at Fairplay Cemetery in Benton.
There will be an open visitation at Ashby Funeral Home.

Olivia Caulfield age 76, of Bryant passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was born on January 6, 1946 in Lockhart, Texas. Olivia was a retired waitress and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sammy Campos and Hortensia Cappleo Campos.
Survivors, daughters, Sonja Goodwin and Geneva Gustum, brothers,
David Campos and Jerry Gustum, sisters, Rosie Molina and Yvonne Estrada, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great –great-grandchildren.

Leslie “Jack” Jackson, 80, of Little Rock, passed away March 26, 2022. He was born January 29, 1942 in Little Rock to the late George C. and Beaulah Mae (Goodson) Jackson.
Jack owned and operated Arkansas Carpet Enterprise and was a highway contracted mail carrier for over twenty years. He also worked as a deputy sheriff. Jack loved the Lord and served him faithfully. He was a member of Ferndale Assembly of God. Jack used his musical talents to minister in nursing homes where he sang, taught, and shared the love of God to all the residents and staff. Jack was gifted musically and played the lead guitar and had a beautiful singing voice. Some of his favorite singers were Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, and the Hensons. Jack enjoyed fishing, bowling, and watching Gunsmoke and westerns. He was country to the core, with pinto beans, cornbread, and milk being his favorite meal. Jack never met a stranger and would talk to anyone-anywhere! He could fix anything, a trait he passed on to his sons. Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.
Preceding Jack in death are his parents, George and Beaulah Jackson; grandson, Justin Caleb Jackson; brother, Kenneth Jackson; and sisters: Martha Hutchins, Jerldean Crutchfield and her husband Bobby, and Evelyn Page.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Karen Jackson of Little Rock; sons: Jeff Jackson and wife Joney of Mabelvale, Arkansas, Jason Henry and wife Rachelle of Vilonia, Arkansas and Chris Jackson and wife Brittney of North Carolina; daughters: Whitney Parker of Little Rock, Mary Rehman and husband Raymond of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Leslie Gaskill and husband Willy of Little Rock; 17 grandchildren: Scotty, Christian, Jonathan, Shelbie, Ashton, Kyle, Emma, Saif, Zaneb, Choudry, Gregory, Brandon, Kailey, Adalee, Aiden, Adrian, and Auliver; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Nelda (Archer) Guenther and husband Robert of Roland, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Raymond Page of Roland, Arkansas; siter-in-law, Jean Jackson of Roland, Arkansas; and many family members and friends who love Jack and will miss him always.
Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Bettye Virginia Lefevre Edwards, 95, of Benton died peacefully Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Des Arc Nursing Home where she had been a resident since 2009. She is a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Benton.
She was born in Hermitage, AR and was one of eight children. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1944. Following World War II, she met a decorated veteran of D- Day Paul Henry Edwards. They were married in 1946 after first receiving permission for the first date. They were married 62 years had four children Paula, Craig and twins Tina and Ann. Tina died at six months from a heart condition.
Mrs. Edwards was a bookkeeper for Rector, Phillips, Morse and Grobmyer Lumber. Later she, her husband, and son Craig owned and operated Chainwheel Bike Shop in Little Rock. However, her most important job was being a mother, homemaker and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew Jackson and Virgie Elizabeth Beeson Lefevre, her husband Paul Edwards and daughter Tina Jo. She is the last of eight siblings.
She is survived by her children Paula (Wayne) Fulmer of Des Arc, Stephen Craig (Carol) Edwards of Trenton, Tx and Ann (David) Long of Benton. Her grandchildren Drs. Preston (Jenny) Fulmer of Chantilly, VA, Paul (Jessica) Fulmer of West Point, VA, Chaney (Stephanie) Edwards of Conner, WA, Chase (Anna) Edwards of Denton, TX, Parker Long of Mesa, AZ, Jessica Long (Cory Gattin) of St. Paul, MN and Madeline Long of North Little Rock, AR and great- grandchildren Kaylee Grace Edwards, Luke and Allie Fulmer, Maggie and Arthur Fulmer.

Carl Junior Holmes of Cabot, AR passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, in Little Rock. He was born in Fort Smith, AR on November 22, 1960, to Dorothy and the late Carl Holmes.
Carl worked in construction for forty years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Coleman, and brother, Roy Holmes.
Matthew David Rogers, 37, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He was born to Robert Rogers and Deborah Smith on Sunday, January 6, 1985, in San Diego, California. Matt graduated from Bryant High School and joined the U.S. Navy, where he served onboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65). The last few years he spent working around the Little Rock area doing air conditioning and refrigeration work. All who knew him will miss Matt.
His grandfather, Roy Rogers, precedes him in death.
He is survived by his grandmother, Sharon Rogers; father, Robert Rogers; mother, Deborah Smith; stepmother, Arlene Rogers; brother, Christopher Rogers; four sisters, Tasi Rogers, Sarah Rogers, Anna Rogers, and Delilah Rogers; son, Connor Rogers; and daughter, Carley Rogers; along with numerous other family and friends.

Doyal A. Drennan, 79, of Paron, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was born to the late, Ralph and Fleetie “Mutt” Johnson Drennan, on Thursday, March 25, 1943, in Paron, Arkansas. He was a member of Oppelo Church of Christ. In Doyal’s spare time, he enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, hunting, and fishing; but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy Dale Drennan; daughter, Melissa Ann Taylor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Drennan; son, Darrell Drennan (Denise); four grandchildren, Nikki, Lindsay, Tori, and Lacey; six great grandchildren, Brandon, Camron, Ryder, Roni, Tripp, and Taylor; with a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Walnut Bottom Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas.
