Linda Gay Harper, age 71, of Maumelle, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born November 16, 1950 in Warren, Arkansas. Gay graduated from Fordyce High School in 1969 and went on to earn her R.N. Degree from UAM. She worked 25 years at Baptist in the Heart Surgery Unit. She was of the Catholic Faith. Gay is preceded in death by her father, Robert Turner and her son, Kipp Harper.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Harper of Maumelle; mother, Juanita Rogers of McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Cheryl Weseman (Bill) of Frisco, Texas and Donna Gwin (Steven) of Gillette; brother, Robert Turner (Cindy) of Texas; daughter-in-law, Staci Harper of Maumelle; two grandchildren, Jackson Kipp Harper and Alisan “Ali” Harper of Maumelle; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Family Comments: Gay loved to travel and visited several countries. The beach was her happy place. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

William Odell Mashburn, 85 of Alexander, passed away on March 22, 2022. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Wynn, Arkansas to the late John William and June Coleman Mashburn. William was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church and a heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
William was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marie Mashburn, one brother and four sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Dale Mashburn of Traskwood, Gary Mashburn of Traskwood and David Mashburn of Beebe, daughter, Tammy Curry of Alexander, brother, Johnny and sisters, Evelyn, Judy and Brenda, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell.

Joshua “Josh” Allen Finley, 36, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away March 19, 2022. He was born June 21, 1985 in Little Rock.
Josh was a very charismatic, loving person. He was a jokester and without holding back, would boldly say what everyone else was thinking. Josh adored his family. He was always there for them and never missed a birthday or holiday. He was the best uncle ever and was very involved in his nieces’ and nephews’ activities. Josh was always ready to help anyone, no matter what time it was or who was in need. He would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet. Josh was the most dependable person ever, and you could always count on him to be there for you.
Preceding Josh in death are his grandparents who helped raise him, Charlie “C.L.” and Lucille Finley.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers: Joe Randall Finley, Jr. of Little Rock and Dawson Finley of Bauxite, Arkansas; sisters Stephine Finley of Little Rock and Tina Olvera and husband Charlie of Benton, Arkansas; father, Joe Randall Finley, Sr. of Bauxite, Arkansas; nephews: Joe III, Christopher, Kain, Ayden, Landen, and Israel; nieces: Rena, Isabel, and Liliana; significant other, Paula; and many family members and friends who love Josh and will miss him always.

James Ray “Cotton” Hastings, 76, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away March 22, 2022. He was born January 24, 1946 in Laneburg, Arkansas to the late Louis Henry and Myrtle (Steeley) Hastings.
Cotton worked installing drywall for over forty years. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, gardening, and working his produce stand. He was known in Saline County and surrounding areas as “Cottons Produce”. Cotton was a simple man who adored his family. Many of his children’s friends considered him their “second Dad”. His grand-daughter, Riley Jo, was the apple of his eye. We never knew the mischief they would get into-from painting the chickens toenails to making mud pies and having tea parties on the front porch.
Preceding Cotton in death are his parents, Louis and Myrtle Hastings; brothers: Floyd Hastings, Lloyd Hastings, and Jim Hastings; and sisters, Edith Hunter and Christine Sutton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of over fifty-three years, Martha Hastings; children: Carey Hastings, Brandy Hastings, and Nicki Murphy (Darrel); step-children: Kathryn Mann and John Reynolds (Christy); grandchildren: Riley Jo, Jack, Derek, Wesley, Bradley, Jesse, Dani, and Jon; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters Shirley Nicholson and Avalene Lewis; and many family members and friends who love Cotton and will miss him always.

Christy Ann Durham-Smyth, 58, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2022. She was a graduate of Bryant High School in 1981 and retired from a faithful career with the Benton Police Department. She was the most beautiful, most generous, and happiest person. She was so full of life, and a bright light to all who knew her. She always had a big smile on her face, and her infectious laugh left everyone who crossed her path feeling better. James, Brandi, and Montana were Christy’s whole life, but she loved everyone. Everyone she met she called a friend.
She was preceded in death by her precious grandson, Hunter Jade Allen Adcox; paternal grandparents, Armor and Nettie Durham; and maternal grandparents, Tom and Eulala Ashcraft.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, James Glee Smyth; daughters, Brandi A. Smyth, Jenni L Pittman, and Candi Burks; three beautiful grandchildren, Makenzie Pittman (granddaughter), Montana Smyth (grandson) and Lane Pittman (grandson); wonderful parents, Ken and Faye Durham; sisters, Lynnette Durham and Tammy Lawson (Chuck); brother, Mike Durham (Vickie); adopted sister Teresa Taylor Heil; nieces and nephews, Shauna Russell (Kelly Joe), Traci Cole (Brett), Allen Lawson (Ashlea), Dallas Pettus, Cole Durham (Emily), Hailey Luckett (Jacob); eight great nieces and nephews, and so many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull.
Thelma Dean Allenbaugh, 83, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born to, Harley and Mary Red, on Friday, November 25, 1938, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She loved being outdoors and was a proud Christian.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Becky Butler and Patricia Ann Lester; son, Roger Bunton; and stepson, Joey Allenbaugh.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 25 years, Arthur Allenbaugh; two sons, Thomas and Timmy Bunton; six stepdaughters, Patty Williams, Deborah Meredith, Lee Holt, Tina Maxwell, Debbie Laws, and Janice Roberts; thirty grandchildren; along with a host of great grandchildren, other family, and friends who all love her and will miss her dearly.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. with visitation one hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
