The Benton School Board met Tuesday to discuss their search for a new Superintendent of Schools, but also to break ties with the previous one, Mike Skelton. The Board presented an agreement to Skelton for a separation including a buyout of his contract, totaling $310,000. See the full contract below.
Skelton was terminated from his employment in late October 2021, with the School Board merely citing a move “to go in a different leadership direction.”
He had been with Benton Schools for over 4 years. Dr. Kim Anderson now serves as interim Superintendent.
