Chief Deputy Dustin Robertson of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) presented two outstanding Deputies with promotions on Friday.
Cpl. Kate Hawthorn was promoted to Patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Hawthorn has been with the Sheriff’s Office for over two years and has been a Law Enforcement Officer for six years.
Chief Dep. Robertson stated “Since beginning her employment with SCSO, Sgt. Hawthorn has displayed the necessary traits, knowledge and skills needed to be an effective leader and supervisor.”
Deputy Justin Myers was also been promoted – to Patrol Corporal. Corporal Myers has been with the Sheriff’s Office for one year and has been a Law Enforcement Officer for over eight years.
“Corporal Myers has demonstrated his abilities to lead and make effective decisions during critical incidents,” stated Chief Dep. Robertson.
