Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:
“There are 807 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases in Arkansas. It’s critical that we all continue following the guidance of our public health officials to slow the spread of this virus. I will have updates on our testing efforts and the White House Task Force report at tomorrow’s weekly briefing.”
Governor Asa Hutchinson and the Arkansas Department of Health provided the update on the state’s COVID-19 statistics for September 28, 2020:
- 807 new cases;
- 7,142 active cases;
- 496 hospitalized, +35;
- 99 on ventilators, +13;
- 1,329 total deaths, +21;
- 82,049 total cases;
- 71,509 recoveries;
- 7,056 PCR tests;
- 9 antigen tests.
The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are:
- Pulaski, 74;
- Sebastian, 37;
- Craighead, 29;
- Garland, 26; and
- Faulkner, 25.
Saline County numbers at the end of the day yesterday were:
Total Cumulative Cases: 2,089
Confirmed Cases: 2,008
Probable Cases: 81
Total Active Cases: 153
Active Confirmed Cases: 147
Active Probable Cases: 6
Total Recovered Cases: 1,912
Recovered Confirmed Cases: 1,839
Recovered Probable Cases: 73
Total Deaths: 23
Confirmed Deaths: 21
Probable Deaths: 2
