Saline River – Catfish, especially the flatheads have been doing good on trotlines using black salty’s and live bream. Bass have been good on brooder minnows and 4″ Zoom lizards. Crappie fair on crappie minnows. Bream doing good on crickets and red worms. Next month watch out Walleye.
Sunset Lake – Even though half of the lake is restricted for fishing due to renovations being done on it, people are still catchibg some fish on it. Cut baits and black salty’s have been doing good for the catfish as well as chicken livers. Bream have done well on crickets and small jigs. Bass have been good on brooder minnows, spinner baits and buzz baits.
Lake Norrell – I have still been hearing some reports of the nice sized red ear bream being caught on crickets. Catfish been slow on night crawlers, chicken livers and cut baits. Bass have done well on small artificial crawdads, spinner baits and plastics. Crappie still good for a few off of crappie minnows hitting the coves.
Bishop Park Ponds – Crappie off of crappie minnows. Bass and catfish being caught off of brooders, also the catfish been good on chicken livers and night crawlers. Bream have been fair on crickets.
Lake Winona – A few good crappie been hitting the bass minnows. Bream on crickets. Bass been good on crappie minnows. Catfish doing good on black salty’s, chicken livers and chicken livers.
