Welcome to Island Time! Join us in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the island of Bookington. Come help Ms. Jordan turn our library island into a true luxury getaway. To join, parents or tweens will need to email Ms. Jordan at [email protected]. Participants must have a Nintendo Switch Subscription to join our library island. Only seven visitors can join the island at one time, so this virtual program will be a first come, first serve basis. This activity is for tweens only, ages 10-13 or grades 4th-7th. Jeff Meek, former Managing Editor of the Hot Springs Village Voice, has been involved in extensive research of the JFK assassination since 1975. He has written numerous papers, essays, and articles on the subject Jeff has moderated panels and is known as an expert on all the theories surrounding the murder of John F Kennedy. Please join us at the Herzfeld Library in Benton to discuss his book, The Manipulation of Lee Harvey Oswald, and to delve into the many theories that keep this story near the forefront of the American consciousness almost sixty years after the assassination occurred. Jeff will have copies of his book available to purchase, and would be happy to sign one for you!

There will be different community members reading picture books about their jobs and answering questions about how they help make this community a great place to live. Connect & Create – Kids Art Zoom

Join Ms. Ashlyn and Ms. Becca for a weekly homeschool Art Zoom lesson. Each week will focus on a new artist, technique, or style of art — learning together and creating our own masterpieces at home!
Since we are creating from home, we will provide most of the supplies needed for this program! A limited number of supply kits will be available for pickup from either SCL branch, and will include all supplies for the entire semester’s worth of classes. All you will need is a device for Zoom and access to basic supplies like scissors and glue. Kits are first come, first served while supplies last. Come pick up your supply kit by request only! Only one per child. Late to the party and miss out on a kit? Don’t worry! Most supplies are pretty basic and can easily be gathered together or picked up at Walmart or Hobby Lobby! Check out our supply list, so you can gather what you need and hop the Zoom to create with us!

Tai Chi for Beginners

Jo Tabor, a Certified Personal Trainer and fitness coach, will teach participants the basics of Tai Chi. This is a program geared towards beginning practitioners, but all skill levels are welcome.
