Shannon Hills allows residents to use certain fireworks on certain days within the city limits. It’s not allowed to sell fireworks according to city ordinance 7.40. Read the specifics below.
It is unlawful to discharge fireworks within the city limits at any other time than during New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and the Fourth of July. That means, the 4th day of July. It is unlawful to discharge bottle rockets at any time within the City.
The ordinance:
7.40.01 – Fireworks use okay only on the holiday
- It shall be unlawful for the discharge of fireworks within the city limits at any other time than during New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and the Fourth of July. (Ord. No. 85-2, Sec. 1.)
7.40.02 – No selling fireworks
- It shall be unlawful to sell fireworks of any kind within the city limits of the city Shannon Hills, Arkansas. (Ord. No. 88-2, Sec. 1.)
7.40.03 – No bottle rockets
- It shall be unlawful for the discharge of bottle rockets at any time within the city limits of the city of Shannon Hills; there shall be no exceptions. (Ord. No. 93-1, Sec.1.)
7.40.04 – Fines Apply
- A private persona, firm, association, organization or corporation found to be in vilation of this ordinance by a court of law, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall pay a fine of not less than Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.000) for each offense. (Ord. No. 85-2, Sec. 2.)
