MINNIE IRENE WOOSLEY, 94 of Benton, passed away on March 22, 2019. She was born to the late Edward and Lillian Van Allen Gill on February 16, 1925 in Tracy, Missouri. FLOYD D. VINYARD of Benton went to be with Our Lord on March 21, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born on June 17, 1930 to the late Willa Erin Lee Vinyard and Adolphus A. Vinyard. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pearl and five brothers, Woodrow, Charles, James, Glenn Ray and Warren, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arlie and Eula Harris, sister-in-law, Pauline Tittle (J.B.), brothers-in-laws, Wilton (Odean), Thurman, and Kenneth. He was a faithful member of Kentucky Missionary Baptist Church for 62 years and taught the Adult Sunday School Class for most of those years. Floyd was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was a CPL. in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan. Floyd worked for Alcoa for over 30 plus years. He was the Department Head over the Calcination Department. He also worked in Jamaica and Germany for Alcoa. He retired in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Melva June Harris Vinyard, a daughter, Pamela Vinyard Green (Keylon) and a son, Eric R. Vinyard (Kathy), five grandchildren, Jeremy Green (Kristy), Jamie Jensen, Erin Schlagel (Kai), Matthew Vinyard (Lauren) and Mark Vinyard (Tanya), sixteen great-grandchildren, Madison and Masen Green, Keylee Wilt, Abby and Preslee Jensen, Luke, Landan, Lily Grace, Lynleigh Schlagel, Hudson and baby brother Vinyard, Paige, Payton, Wyatt Vinyard and Cache and Jacob Currie. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Melba Harris and several nieces and nephews. He was “Papaw” to all of his grands and he loved all his family uncondionally. Most of all he loved the Lord. He was “Daddy” to Pamela and Eric. He loved to ride his tractor and mow grass and visit with all his grandchildren and family. Family will be at the home of Eric and Kathy Vinyard, Hwy 5. BENNETT H. (BENNY) HAWKINS, 66 of Benton, passed away March 25, 2019. He was born May 21, 1952 in Benton. Bennett graduated from Benton High School and played football for the Panthers He was a pipefitter by trade and worked with glass. Bennett served in the US Army as an M. P. and received several awards for his service. He was of the Baptist faith and loved fishing on the Saline River and was a history buff. Bennett was preceded in death by his father, Herman Hawkins, mother, Ruby Tully, Step-father, John Tully Jr., brother, Jerry Hawkins, and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Bramlett. ROGIE WAYNE GREENWAY age 86, of Paron, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019. He was born September 15, 1932 in Paron. He obtained his Masters Degree from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville. He loved baseball. Rogie played for the University of Arkansas Monteicello as the starting catcher for four years, 1950-1954, where he made the all conference team. He also spent the summer playing baseball in independent leagues in Louisiana and Arkansas. Rogie taught school at Paron High School for 34 years where he met the new Home Economics teacher, Virginia, who later became his wife. Rogie enlisted in the Army in 1954 and was assigned to an Air Force Base, 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles. He also played baseball while in the service for his military base. Rogie was a member and Deacon of North Fork Missionary Baptist Church. He Loved the Lord and used his life to serve Him in any way he could. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Fred Greenway and Clara Lessie Daniels Greenway, wife, Virginia Greenway, brothers, Daniel, J. B., and Charles Greenway, sisters, Helen Washington, and Ruth Williams. Survivors, Son and daughter-in-law, David (Shannon) Greenway, Conway; brother, John V. ALLEN R. WEBB, SR. of Benton, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 of heart failure at the age of 87. He was born on June 25, 1931 to A.S. (Red) Webb and Ira Storey Webb. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and brother, D.L. Webb, Sr. In 1952 Allen married JoAnn Hardin, whom he loved and missed immensely after she passed in June of 2000 of Alzheimer’s Disease. They had four wonderful children, whom they loved dearly, Margie Karen Webb Daniel (Dennis), Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Webb Hastings (Lee), Allen Richard Webb, Jr. (DeeDee); Lisa Ann Webb Hefley (Dr. Bill Hefley), twelve grandchildren, Tarah Daniel Rudd, Kasey Daniel Kurtz, Lee Hastings IV, Andrew Hastings, Grant Hastings, Anne Marie Hastings Doramus, Bailey Hefley, Hannah Hefley, Will Hefley, Ren Hefley, Tiffany O’Dwyer and Allen Webb III. Great grandchildren, Tucker, Tanner and Tinley Rudd, Tyson and Colton Kurtz, Mary Hardin, Harry V, Charlie and Ellen Blair Hastings, Huette and Hollis Hastings, Haley,Grayson and Jack O’Dwyer ; Allen Webb IV. KENNETH MCCOY SUGGS went to be with our Lord on March 21, 2019. He died at home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was 79. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years. Caroline Moser Suggs, as well as their children Jeff Suggs and his wife Karen of Charleston, SC, Brian Suggs and his wife Mandi of Fayetteville, Ar and Jennifer Suggs Deuschle and her husband Matt of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his niece Mary Maddox and husband Billy of Memphis, TN and six grandchildren: Arika Suggs Cox, Nathan Suggs, Caroline and Victoria Deuschle anfd Jake an Emily Cale. He was proceeded in death by his mother Juanita Pope Brown, his father Amon Wren Suggs, and his step-sister Deanna Lineberry. Kenny was born November 13, 1939 in Memphis, TN. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1956-1960 aboard the USS Saratoga. He worked at the Schlitz Brewery in Memphis before moving to Rogers, AR in 1979 where he owned Rogers Blind Company. He retired to Hot Springs, AR in 2011. Kenny was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed nothing more than being with his family and friends, and his story telling will remain legendary. RICHARD WRIGHT TULL, 85 of Tull, Arkansas passed away on March 28, 2019. He was born on July 31, 1933 in Tull to the late Luther Edward and Essie Louise DuVall Tull. Richard was retired from Alcoa as a Maintenance Foreman. He was Sr. Vice Commander of VFW Post 2256 for several years. Richard was a Navy Veteran having fought during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member and elder of Antioch Christian Church in Tull. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Murlene Keisler Tull, brother, Ray Tull and sisters, Juanita Gibson and Christine Walker. JOHNNY LANE ROCKETT, 79 of Benton, Arkansas, died March 28, 2019 at his home. He was born January 20, 1940 in Bernice, Louisiana to parents, Borden and Ovia Marie Rockett. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron Rockett. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia and sons, Jacob Higgins (Chelsie) of Sheridan, Jimmy Witherspoon of Hope, and Charlie Rockett of Camden; sisters, Mary Williamson of Minden, Louisiana, and Jean Allen of Tyler, Texas; brother, David Rockett of Benton, Louisiana. Other survivors include his granddaughter, Ellie Kate Higgins and a host of nieces and nephews. Johnny, an airborne Ranger, served as a captain in the Army during the Vietnam War. Among the numerous military awards he received, Johnny was most proud of the Bronze Star. In the citation for this honor, he was lauded for “his initiative, zeal, sound judgment, and devotion to duty”. An avid outdoorsman, Johnny enjoyed boating, skiing, riding motorcycles, and flying planes. He and his best friend, James Stewart, spent countless hours in their parachute planes flying around Hope and Prescott. Additionally, Johnny taught generations of children to ski on Lake Greason by engineering a special set of small skis to increase their balance to facilitate their learning. Anyone who knew Johnny understands that he believed that happiness comes from giving of ourselves to others. He loved sharing stories of his past with family and friends and laughing along with them. Even when his health declined, his sweet, loving nature continued to shine. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the First Methodist Church in Benton. CAROL “JOANIE” OSBORN, 79, passed away peacefully Monday, April 1, 2019 at Southern Trace nursing home in Bryant, Arkansas. Joanie was born February 21,1940 in Dexter, Missouri to Carl and Opal (Williams) Gales. Joanie is survived by her beloved husband, Darrell Osborn, daughters Julie (Rob) Busick, Jana Strickland, sister, Pauline Nelson and step children, Darrell (Kari) Osborn, Tara (Bobby) Glover, Nicole (Tim) Lloyd and Chris (Margie) Osborn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Opal Gales, brother, Norman Gales, sisters, Maxine Webb and Peggy Huey. Her grandkids called her Winnie; Robby Busick, Randy Busick, Gabi Strickland, Cody Osborn, Spencer Lloyd, Alyssa Duff, Zachary Peach (deceased), Nicholas Peach, Alex Peach, Anne Marie Maddox, Madelyn Lloyd, Olivia Osborn, Skylar Glover, Jazmine Glover, Bella Osborn, Glen Glover, her great grandchildren Isla Belle Busick, Evie Adele Busick, Lucas James Busick, Sawyer Peach and Victoria Rose Maddox. Joanie loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. ROSEMARY M. TALBERT, 69 of Benton, passed away on March 28, 2019. She was born on December 31, 1949 in Niagara Falls, New York to Gerald and Maxine Wilkerson Tooker. Rosemary was a Licensed Practical Nurse and enjoyed many years with her patients. Rosemary is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Tooker. She is survived by her father, Gerald Tooker of Benton, son, Aaron (Janet) Talbert of Colorado, daughter, Alycia (Shane) Bradley of North Little Rock, six grandchildren; sister Lorna Timm of Bryant and niece, Rachel Timm of Bryant. ROBBIE M. (JEAN) GAULT, age 87, of Haskell, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019. She was born October 17, 1931 in Benton, Arkansas. Jean retired from AT&T. She loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. Jean enjoyed gardening, quilting, art, and word puzzles. She loved spending time with family & friends and had a special relationship with her friends at the dialysis unit in Benton. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William and Verda Moore; husband, Jack W. Gault Sr.; six sisters; two brothers, two grandsons and one great-grandson. She is survived by her son, Jack Gault Jr. (Debbie); two daughters, Carol Bramlett (Tommy) and Hattie Spann; sister, Alice Laplant; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Gault and Charlene Moore; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. DONALD GUY ELLERS passed away peacefully Sunday March 24th at Mt. Carmel Community at the Village, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Don was born in Scotia, New York, son of Lillian Kaiser and Carl Ellers, and resided in Upstate New York where he first worked as a machinist and then a buyer for the General Electric Company. He was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Don was the loving husband for 73 years of the late Loris Bird Finch, brother of Lois T. Williams of California, and the late Robert Ellers and father to Thomas Wayne Ellers of Hot Springs Village, Nancy Cheryl Ellers of Batavia NY, Judith Patrice Ellers of Greenwich NY and the late David Edward Ellers. Beloved grandfather of Jeffry J. LOUIS “GEORGE” BROWN was born on Sept. 7, 1930 to Louis Frederick. Brown and Edna Trowbridge Brown in Ambridge, PA. He spent his childhood years in Baden, PA. George was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Ambridge High School. He immediately went into the Army in June of 1949. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving 3 ½ years. George received his B.S. Degree in Business Admin. from West Liberty State Univ. He worked for 10 years for Allied Chemical Co., and 27 years for Vulcan Materials Co., in Marketing for their Chemical Division. George married Joyce Ann Rigby, fellow student at West Liberty State College, in November of 1954. Before moving to Mt Carmel Community, George and Joyce were long time members of both Village Bible Church and Balboa Baptist Church. George was very proud of his sons & daughter-in-law’s; Jeffrey (Tessa) and Jay (Kari). George is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: James, John, Robert and Charles. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of 64 years of Hot Springs Village; son, Jeffrey Louis Brown (Tessa) and granddaughter, Sarah Joyce, all of Robina Queensland, Australia; son, Dr. Jay P. TERESA PAULINE LAMBERT, age 63, of Paron, Arkansas, passed from this life on March 22, 2019. She was born on September 17, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Lambert, also known as Teri, Momma, or Nannie was a wonderful wife and mother and was a sweet lady and who had a big heart. She spent years as a babysitter and was great with kids and cherished time with her own grandchildren. She also loved dogs and horses and was a member of Household of Faith Church in Salem, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Hand and one son, Charles Daniel “Danny” Lambert. Teri was survived by her loving husband, of 47 years, Ricky Lambert and her daughter, Paula Lambert (Nicholas Oaks). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Terra Richardson, Madison Richardson, Ethan Lambert and Jayden Lambert, along with a host of other friends and family, that will miss her dearly. JOSEPH LEE SELF SR., 81, of Benton went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born on July 22, 1937 in Calhoun City, Mississippi to the late Henderson and Jessie Lee Self. Joseph enjoyed coaching baseball, cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Self, two brothers, and four sisters. Joseph is survived by one sister, Diane Barrett; three sons, Joseph Self Jr., Jeff Self (Deborah) and Jason Self (Michelle); daughter, Jill Sanders; eight grandchildren, Josh Self (Hannah), Keith Self (Jennifer), Bryson Self (Ronnie), Blake Self, McKenzie Hansen (BJ), McKlay Self, Tyler Sanders, and Mason Self; seven great grandchildren, Henry, JT, Hunter, Blakely, Henderson, Kinsley, and Karsyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. BEVERLY ANN BROOKS, 60, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away on April 1, 2019. She was born to Tommy and Evelyn Jones on September 14, 1958 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She loved to search her ancestry. THEODORE ROOSEVELT WHEELER, 95, of Benton passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019. He was born January 15, 1924 in Fountain Hill, Arkansas to the late Garner A. Wheeler and Mary Clementine Davis. Mr. Wheeler attended and was a faithful member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Benton. He was a loving husband, married for 72 years to his beloved bride Shirley. He was a doting father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was loved by all who knew him. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran, who earned a Purple Heart as a P.O.W. in Korea. He was a proud member of the Teamster’s Union and retired from ABF Freight System in 1989, after 35 years of dedicated service. He was truly a great man – OUR HERO. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lorene Rafter Wheeler; two children, Rhett Wheeler and Tammy Hobbs; and one granddaughter Heather Hobbs Mr. Wheeler is survived by his son, Kirk Wheeler and wife Willa of Little Rock; three daughters, Rhonda Phillips of Benton,Vicki Smith and her husband Steve, of Hot Springs Village, and Kelly Goodrich of Bryant; 14 grandchildren, Carrie Finnegan, Kim Roach, Jeremy Wheeler, Ryan Mitchell, Jessica Looney, Amber Adams, Caroline Fowler, Kami Belew, Brant Hobbs, Chloe Goodrich, Evan Goodrich, Morgan Wheeler, Griffin Wheeler and Judson Goodrich; and 24 great-grandchildren. LYNDA SUE WRIGHT, 79, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away quietly on March 20, 2019. She was born February 8, 1940 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to the late William and Thelma Edith (Rickard) McClemore. Lynda retired after caring for patients as a registered nurse for over fifty years. During that time, she helped deliver hundreds of babies in labor and delivery, was a medical/surgical nurse, and was director of nursing in Mena, Arkansas. Lynda loved spending time with her grandchildren and was their biggest fan at all their sporting activities. She was a huge Dallas Cowboy and Dallas Maverick fan. Lynda enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful afghans for her family. Spending time on Lake Ouachita with her family was a favorite pastime and hold memories that family will cherish forever. Lynda enjoyed reading her Kindle and watching television. She was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first. Preceding Lynda in death are her husband of fifty-two years, Billy Leroy Wright; parents; and grandchildren: Renea Wright and Hope Christian Wright. JAMES DAVID ABLES, 73, of Traskwood, Arkansas passed away March 23, 2019. He was born June 13, 1945 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late James Delmer and Thelma Jean (Williams) Ables. James loved the Lord and was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God in Malvern, Arkansas where he was active in the men’s ministry and mission trips to Mexico. He proudly served in the United States Army, Navy, and National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion. James loved to garden and enjoyed the excitement of finding hidden treasures at auctions, flea markets, carport sales, and yard sales. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others through giving his time or money. James loved his family and was always there for them. VESTER ALLEN, JR. was born May 5, 1942 in Widener, Arkansas to the late Vester Sr. and Vera Allen. He departed his life March 26, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Vester gave his life to Christ at an early age and later joined St. Paul Baptist Church. On October 1, 1960, he married Arleatha Jordan and to this union five daughters were born. He worked at Spivey’s Auto Dealership then went on to work as a heavy equipment operator. DONALD ALLEN TEMPLE, 22, son of Dana McGee and the late Donald Temple, died Wednesday March 20th, 2019 of a stroke at his home in Dardanelle. Don was preceded in death by his father: Donald Temple; his paternal grandparents: Elmore and Linda Temple; and maternal grandmother: Charlotte Hurst. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother: Dana and step-father: Jeff McGee; two sisters: Stacey Temple (Crystal Huddleston) and Ellianne (John) Barbour; his brother and best friend: Sam Temple; his grandfather: Elmer O. Hurst; and numerous cousins, nieces, and friends. Don Allen was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. It seemed he was born with a tool in his hand because there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He was always happiest under the hood of a car, especially with his Dad and brother. He also loved to play the guitar and fish with his brother, Sam. His family called him the “baby whisperer” because he loved all his nieces and cousins and they all loved him in return. Don was a 2015 graduate of Bryant High School and was set to graduate from ASU-Searcy’s Diesel Tech program in May.

He was born September 17, 1942 to the late Joseph “Ward” Venable Sr., and Adelene Eudora Kochel in Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents; his soulmate of 51 years, Judith Major; one brother, John David Venable; four sisters, Bobbye Sue Venable, Paulette Harris, Linda Breeding, and Mary Nell Cohrt; He is survived by his daughters, Bobbi Ann Phillips (Robert), and Kathy Venable Garner; five grandchildren, Mistica Martin (AJ), Shane Phillips (Cindy), Lauren Phillips (Jason), Ian Phillips (Kara), and Sydney Garner; seven great- grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine McHughes (Donald) and Angela Sallis; two brothers, Leonard and Keith (Sandy) Venable; and numerous nieces and nephews. Buddy was a kind, generous, and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He retired from Thompson Electric where he worked for 20 plus years with his faithful, loyal, high school friend, Don Thompson. Buddy loved to fish, hunt, pick berries and garden. Later on, he enjoyed going to the casino with friends and family. ROYCE ALLAN STANFORD SR., 86, of Bryant, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2019. He was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Pepperell, Alabama, to C.W. and Bessie (Leverette) Stanford. He grew up in the tight-knit mill village of Pepperell where he made relationships and memories which he spent his lifetime recalling with great fondness. He graduated from Clift High School in Opelika, Alabama, in 1950, and Auburn University in 1954. Afterward, he served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He worked as a chemical engineer and spent his career in the wood products industry. He retired in 1990 as a senior vice president for the Weyerhaeuser Corporation. Royce married Martha Vann Lee on Aug. 9, 1953. Together, they had three children and lived all over the United States making lifelong friends wherever they went. Royce will be remembered for his quiet, steadfast love and devotion to his family. He was a hard-working, conscientious, and well-respected friend to many. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha. He was a beloved father to Allan (Cindy) Stanford Jr., Julie Stanford and Joe Stanford; and much-cherished “Pap” to his grandchildren, Jason (Lindsay) Gornto, Mary Beth Stanford (Casey) Picker, Jill Gornto (Donald) Raymond, Allan (Lindsay) Stanford III, Bill (Mei-Lyn) Stanford, Mihaela Stanford; and sixteen great-grandchildren. WINNIE DEAN PENNINGTON MCCANN, 88, of Benton, went to live with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 30, 2019. Winnie was born Sept. 16. 1930, to Roy James and Hattie May Steelman Pennington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill McCann; a brother, J W Pennington (Lavern); and a sister, Neva Thomas (R.E.). She is survived by five nephews, Downey Pennington (Mary), of Sheridan, Mike Pennington (Vickie), of Fayetteville, Robert Thomas (Debra), of Dickson, Tennessee, Billy Pennington (Carrie), of Little Rock, and David Thomas (Kathy), of Humble, Texas; two nieces Lanet Gracie (Michael), of Columbia, Missouri, and Winnie Berry (Tony), of Crosby, Texas, as well as many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; also her long-time dear friend, Pat Stuckey. Winnie graduated from UALR and Draughon School of Business in Little Rock, worked for many years at Reynolds Aluminum and retired in Benton. She was a long-time member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Benton. Winnie was passionate about her family and loved taking her nieces and nephews to Lake Hamilton when they were younger. GUY PRESLEY MOSLEY, 90, of East End, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019. He was born December 10, 1928 along with his twin Dwight Edward (Red) Mosley to Frank and Lillian Mosley. He was preceded in death by brothers Red and James Mosley, sister Bettye Mosley, and son Mike Mosley. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joanna; son Steve Mosley (Debbie); daughter M’Liss Collins (George); sister in law Clara Fay Mosley; nieces Suzanne Mosley and Lisa Doster. He is also survived by grandchildren Kyle Mosley, Ashley Peach (Matthew), Annette Terrell (Cameron), Matt Collins and great grandchildren M’Liss Annette and Emery Anja Terrell and Carter James Peach. After serving his country in the Korean War, Guy joined the banking business. He was as Vice President of Worthen Bank and Trust before accepting a position with Systematics. He retired in 1990 and has spent the last 29 years enjoying the view from his Lakeside Cottage on Ferguson Lake in East End, AR. Guy and Joanna joined Lakeside country club in 1981. He was President of the Board for 2 years and loved to campaign for other candidates for office. Guy will be cremated by Ruebel Funeral Home. The family will have a private celebration of his life. SHEILA ANN DRENNON, 74, of Benton, fell asleep in death Sunday, May 13, 2018, with loved ones by her side. She was born June 14, 1943, in Hawthorne, California, to Garvis and Anna Cate. Sheila married the love of her life, Ronald Drennon, on June 9, 1962. Sheila loved spending time with her family. Wherever her grandkids were, Sheila could always be found as well. She was a member of the Benton Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sheila’s warm smile and kind voice will be missed greatly by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; two children, Brian Drennon and Lori Ross (Schantz); three grandchildren, Crystal Lequieu (Robin), Bradley Drennon and Rebekah Ross; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Drennon and Henry Lequieu; two brothers, Bruce Cate (Teresa) and Greg Cate (the late Julia); and the only mother she ever knew, Ruby Cate. AGNES PAULINE PIERCEALL, age 90 of Jonesboro, formerly of Benton, slipped the surly bonds of earth and touched the face of God on Monday, February 18, 2019 at her home in Jonesboro. She was born in Marmaduke, Arkansas on February 25, 1928 to the late Claude Terry and Eda Gschwend Terry. Her birth mother died when Agnes was eight years old, and she was lovingly reared by her stepmother, Amanda Belle Terry. Receiving her education in Paragould, Arkansas, she attended St. Mary Catholic School. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late James Weldon “Shorty” Pierceall, to whom she was married on April 28, 1947 in Paragould. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1999 after over 52 years of marriage. Agnes was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Melinda Pierceall (R. C. Vanhoozer) of Jonesboro; her son, James Clifford Pierceall of Benton; and by two granddaughters, Shelby Pierceall and Tori Pierceall, both of Conway; step-grandchildren, Bobby Vanhoozer (deceased) (Devan), and Justin Vanhoozer (Jennifer); step-great-grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as Mamaw Agnes, Rhegan, Sophie, Vann, Ethan, and Makenzie; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews. Agnes was also preceded in death by her twin daughters, Sharon and Sheila Pierceall; and by 11 siblings. Visitation will be on Friday evening, February 22, 2019 from five until six o’clock at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton, followed by a Rosary Service beginning at six o’clock. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday morning, February 23, 2019 at eleven o’clock at the church with Father Paul Worm as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home of Malvern. Pallbearers are: Tom Bowden, Terry Bowden, Randy Dodge, Stan Spence, Clyde (Dubby) Spence, and Matt Spence. Honorary pallbearers: Jacob Teal, Tony Spence, Ethan Vanhoozer, Justin Vanhoozer, Josh Bowden, Ben Bowden, Jason Bowden, and Ted Bowden.
