UPDATE 09/18/2019 10:30AM
We have an opening date for Burlington Coat Factory in Benton. Staff at Burlington states that if everything goes according to plan, the doors will open on Friday, October 4th, 2019. We’ve seen the paint colors change on the face of the old Best Buy building at 20815 Interstate 30. We’ve also seen jobs listings for the new Burlington location. Now it’s official.
According to Burlington’s webpage for Benton, in addition to general clothing and accessories, they will offer baby accessories and furniture at baby depot, swimwear, home decor and textiles, housewares and small electronics, ladies plus sizes, maternity, mens and young mens big & tall sportswear, and petite sportswear.

We’ve been waiting for months to hear if ROSS Dress for Less has finally sealed the deal, but things change and a different store is opening there. Burlington Coat Factory’s website confirms that they are coming to the storefront that formerly housed Best Buy. They are looking for a manager for the Benton store right now. Here’s the job link: https://burlingtonstores.jobs/north-little-rock-ar/retail-store-managerassistant-managers-new-store-opening/4cf622d207224613804e490659100f03/job/ The headline says North Little Rock, since that’s apparently where you’ll interview, but read further and it says there will be a new store in Benton.
Burlington began in 1924 as a wholesaler of ladies coats and junior suits. In 1972, they opened our first outlet store in Burlington, New Jersey. Over time, their merchandise offerings expanded and so did the locations. Burlington offers coats, apparel, shoes, accessories, baby clothing, furniture, travel gear, toys, home decor items, and gifts.
We’ll update when there’s news on when the store will open. See related stories below.

Best Buy is gone from Benton as of November, and the shopping center is not waiting around to fill the big empty space left behind. Very often, when a store leaves because the rent is too high, it means the property owner has another fish on the hook already. MySaline heard about a deal this morning and we were just able to confirm through messaging that ROSS Dress for Less Stores has a lease pending on this location at 20815 Interstate 30. That’s in the Alcoa Crossings shopping center, adjoining Petco and adjacent to Target, Chili’s and other popular businesses. This particular area has a jagged city boundary running through it. The location is in the city limits of Benton, Arkansas, while properties to its east and west are in Bryant.
ROSS would not be taking the entire space that Best Buy occupied. There is still a large space open in the middle of the building. Refer to image below. Click them to enlarge. ROSS representatives say they do no have an opening date yet. Stay tuned to MySaline for more information.

Looks like the Best Buy building in Alcoa Crossings (aka Alcoa Exchange) won’t be empty for long. I won’t say just yet who is cutting a deal, but here’s a clue – it’s a store many are familiar with, and I think a lot of people will be pleased. I personally am happy there won’t be an empty storefront. More information coming – watch MySaline.com.
