The theme for the 2024 parade is “Floats Along The River.” This celebrates the city’s vibrant connection to the Arkansas River, a cornerstone of the community and a centerpiece of Little Rock’s downtown. The city is calling on all participants to let their creativity flow like the river itself.
Honoring Little Rock’s heritage as a river city, the parade will showcase how the river continues to shape and inspire community, bringing everyone together for a memorable holiday season. Whether you’re joining as a float participant or just watching the parade, expect a wave of excitement, beautiful designs, and holiday magic.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at Broadway & W Markham streets, continuing east along W Markham/Clinton Ave, to the area of Interstate 30.
Activities will take place along the route before and after. Bring everyone to meet Santa Claus at the Statehouse Convention Center. The address is 101 E Markham St, Little Rock, AR 72201.
Next, the Arkansas State Capitol Lighting Ceremony is 5:30 p.m., with the lighting expected to take place around 6:15 p.m. That address is 500 Woodlane St, Little Rock, AR 72201. This is the 86th year for the Capitol lighting ceremony, which dates to the late 1930s.
