Davis connected with Senior WR Elias Payne 4 times for 135 yards and a touchdown, Senior WR Maddox Davis 4 times with 127 yards and a touchdown, and Junior WR Carson Collat 3 times for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The ground attack looked just as impressive. Senior RB Luther Tucker III added to his impressive season, rushing for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The offense wasn’t the only highlight of the game, however. The Panther D enforced their will on the Rockets, limiting them to 0 points on 42 plays for the night. Senior LB Walter Hicks led the unit in tackles with 15, including a sack. Following close behind was Senior S Isaac Hill with 13. Seniors Jay Alford and Owen Seals stood out on the D-line as they limited the Catholic-run game and Senior S Landon Jackson made a pair of clutch plays, including a pick on the goal line, all coming together to hold Catholic to 0 points.
Benton looks forward to Senior Night this Friday as they take on the 1-4 West Memphis Blue Devils.
