A Bryant man is dead from a shooting, and his alleged killer was at large overnight but is now in custody. It all happened in some apartments near the main police and fire stations in Bryant.

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at approximately 12:15 P.M., a call came in for the Bryant Police Department to come to a shooting at Northgate Apartments in the 300 block of Roya Lane. According to a statement from Police, when Officers arrived, they found a male with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers stated they began attempts at saving the victim’s life until medical personnel arrived. A short time later, the male was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the police report.
The Bryant Police say they used leads and spread the word to other law enforcement, telling where he might be located. On Monday morning, the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force apprehended Donshadrick Laron Boyd, age 35, in Faulkner County, Arkansas. Boyd faces a charge of First Degree Murder, as well as Residential Burglary, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and other charges.
Two neighbors say they think it was a domestic incident, with a woman’s current boyfriend being allegedly shot by the previous boyfriend, who is also the father of her child.
