The local networking group, Ladies Out Lunching – LOL for short – will host their August Luncheon at Chicken Salad Chick, Wednesday, August 21st from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
Alexander Youth Center – Laura Iverson
The AYC kids are in need of books to read! The kids are ages 12-20 but most are behind on their reading level. Dollar tree has lots of paperbacks but also consider resale stores and even the Saline County Library’s used bookstore! And don’t forget about graphic novels/comic books!
Laura said it’s mostly male, and mostly people of color. Don’t forget the girls, and do think about representation so kids can see people like themselves in the books.
This month’s speaker:
Emily Gray – Owner of Chicken Salad Chick
She has an amazing story and we can’t wait to hear it with you!
Luncheon Details:
– Lunch is Dutch Treat: just order and pay when you arrive
– Don’t forget to bring your business cards and materials!
– Happy Gift: If you would like a minute to share about your business bring a small gift or some business swag to share! We will draw for a recipient and you get a chance to share – everyone loves a present… right?
