Look for ramp closures for about a week near Exit 114. See the detour map below, provided by ARDOT.
Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires overnight ramp and lane closures at Exit 114 (Highway 67/229) Tuesday night, July 30 through Thursday morning, August 8. Weather permitting, the closures will occur nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow crews to perform paving operations.
The following lane and ramps will be closed with detours signed as noted:
- Northbound lane on Highway 67/229 – Traffic will be detoured onto I-30 east, take the off-ramp to Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street) and follow the frontage road to Highway 67/229.
- I-30 eastbound off-ramp – Traffic will continue on I-30 east, take the off-ramp to Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street) and follow the frontage road to Highway 67/229.
- I-30 westbound off-ramp – Traffic will take the off-ramp at Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street) and follow the frontage road to Highway 229.
- I-30 westbound on-ramp for northbound traffic on Highway 67/229 – Traffic will take I-30 east, take the off-ramp at Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street), and return to I-30 west.
- I-30 westbound on-ramp for southbound traffic on Highway 67/229 – Traffic will take I-30 east, take the off-ramp at Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street), and return to I-30 west.
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. See ramp-closure maps below for more information.
The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
