Downtown Benton real estate action is so hot it makes Arkansas summers look chill. Shops are popping up, and we are trying to keep you in the know.
The most recent announcement comes from a new kid on the block, 501 Faire. This fabulous but small home goods store off South Street is growing and moving to bigger digs.
The winning new location is the former pawn shop location at 114 N Market street. The saying “out with the old and in with the new” couldn’t be more applicable. Some might recall the first Market Street storefront was none other than a home goods store in the 1930s.
The history wasn’t lost on owners Chloe Hathcote and Gena Bunker, giving them more reason to choose this location for the future of 501 Faire.
“We are aiming to restore the space how it was in the beginning but with some updates to the loft and fixtures,” exclaims Chloe.
The fresh face will serve well with all the new plans coming into place, too. Chloe and her mom-partner, Gena, have worked hard to find the right products and services to fill the expanded space.
“We will now be offering an exclusive wedding registry experience. With both practical and attractive items to choose from, perfect for any couple.”
Don’t worry; they assured us their home goods and gifts will still be a star attraction. They will have many new items and expanded lines ready for their opening in mid-September.
It’s easy to hear and feel their enthusiasm, prompting us to ask what got them to open 501 Faire in 2021.
Chloe, college fresh, started to work with her mom in corporate America and at the same company. But then, COVID left an impression on them enough to change their hearts about what’s next for them.
“We decided why not do something crazy, quit our jobs, and pursue something aligned with our passions?” Chloe explained they quit their jobs and staked their claim on downtown Benton.
And if they get their way, they will leave a lasting impression, help make your home a little prettier, and your life more memorable.
Plan on stopping in once they’re open and support your local small business. In turn, they can continue to serve our communities.
