On October 11th, the Bryant Police Department received information regarding recent vehicle instances of breaking and entering and theft. The information led investigators to four local juveniles that were involved in the thefts. Two of the juveniles were taken into custody at a bus stop in the Bryant area. The two were in possession of stolen firearms.
All four juveniles were not in school Thursday. There were no guns taken to school. The juveniles and their parents were brought to the Bryant PD, where they were questioned regarding the thefts. Following the questioning, two of the juveniles were transported to lockup in Pine Bluff and the other two were released to their parents. Their ages are from 14 to 17, therefore names cannot be released.
Because the guns were taken from unlocked vehicles, Sgt. Crowson stated, “This is another reminder for people to not leave firearms or other valuables in your car and always lock your vehicle.”
They were charged with the following:
– Two were charged with Possession of Stolen Firearm
– All were charged with multiple counts of Breaking and Entering, Theft of Property and Theft by Receiving.
They were all turned over to the Juvenile Courts.
