Chief Deputy Sheriff Dustin Robertson announced this week that he will enter the 2026 race for Saline County Sheriff. Robertson has been endorsed by Sheriff Rodney Wright, who announced last month that he will be a candidate for State Senate.

Chief Deputy Robertson has over 34 years of law enforcement experience, 31 with Little Rock Police Department and nearly four with Saline County Sheriff’s Office. His experience includes 27 years as a supervisor and 18 years of executive command level leadership. Robertson has lived in Saline county for 29 years.
“I want to first thank Sheriff Rodney Wright for his service to Saline County and his support in my bid for Sheriff,” State Robertson. “He has been crucial to Saline County’s success as a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
“After much prayer, consideration and encouragement from those in the community, I am announcing my candidacy for Sheriff of Saline County. I have the experience to to continue the strong leadership we have seen under Sheriff Wright. My number one goal is to prioritize the safety and security of our citizens. I’m humbly asking for your support and vote.”
About Chief Deputy Dustin Robertson
Robertson has been married to his wife Lonya for 29 years and have called the Salem area of Saline County home. The Robertsons are long-time members of Northside Church of Christ. They have raised two children, Peyton and Keeli, who are both educators and also live in Saline County. As both their children are coaches, Dustin and Lonya spend time at their athletic events. Dustin has completed the FBI’s National Academy and is an active member of their state and national alumni associations.
