Rob Roedel has announced that he will seek a seventh term on the Bryant City Council. He is the current council member for Ward 3, Position 2.

Roedel, who served as a city planning commissioner from 2008-2012 prior to being elected to the Bryant city council in 2012, is the senior city council member among council members. During his tenure in public service to the city of Bryant and a resident of Ward 3 he has been involved with many long-term strategic initiatives including the city’s comprehensive development plan and long-term water supply agreements.
“I am dedicated to serving my friends and neighbors as a member of the Bryant City Council,” he said. “Our town has grown tremendously over the years and my goal is to continue to position Bryant for ongoing prosperity and growth.”
Roedel has lived in Bryant for more than 28 years. He immediately assimilated himself into the growing community upon moving to what he calls his adopted hometown. He served on the Bryant Fall Fest Committee for many years as well as the Bryant Athletic Association board of directors.Roedel is the senior director of corporate communications for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas and has worked in the communications and marketing field for approximately 35 years.
A 1989 graduate of Arkansas State University (ASU), Rob spent many years in the high-tech industry sector during its infancy. He began working for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas in 2002. During his tenure with the cooperatives Rob has led many comprehensive projects designed to help the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas communicate with audiences. He has been honored by the ASU department of journalism for his contributions to the communications field.
Rob and his wife, Lisa, are proud residents of Ward 3, aka the Heart of Bryant area. He and Lisa have four children, Andrew (and his wife Skylar), Jake, Chase and Cayla. Rob served as a leader in many youth-oriented associations and currently serves on the boards of the national Generation and Transmission Electric Cooperative Association, Arkansas 4-H Foundation, the Arkansas FFA Foundation, the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame, the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year, the Arkansas STEM Coalition, the Arkansas Press Association Newspaper Foundation and the executive committee of the Arkansas State Fair and Livestock Show.
